Beerzone - Strangle all the Boybands
British Punkers bring this album packed full of good old beer
drinking songs and an awesome album title to boot. Performing
with the likes of the Dropkick Murphys, or Cock Sparrer, Beerzone
hope to stick around the scene for a while. Sick of the UK music
scene, the band formed to provide an alternative to the crap
out in the mainstream music. If you like that kind of Punk Rock
then this is for you.

Beerzone
- Strangle all the Boybands
UK punks Beerzone give us their latest, Strangle all the Boybands.
Ahh, if only I could. Worth noting the title track contains
this priceless lyric "They're just puppets they don't get
laid, with fans so young they can't get laid". This is
boot to the head Punk Rock with an old school spirit; fast and
raw songs with spiked '77 attitude that is never dumber down.
Fans of The Business, Bombshell Rocks or Peter & The Test-Tube
Babies would be wise to check this out. Obvioulsy this is also
great beer-drinking music with surprisingly well-written lyrics
that are funny and true. My favorites were 'Duncan Disorderly',
'Billy Wizz', 'Get the Beers In' and 'Society'. Street Punk
at it's finest.

Beerzone
- Strangle all the Boybands
In the late '70's punk bands rebelled against what they saw
as stagnant, corporate rock. About 25 years later, a new generation
of upstart musicians ( who weren't even born before the Sex
Pistols self-destructed...boy does that make some of us feel
old!) are trying to reclaim the indie music scene, you certainly
don't have to think hard to figure out where the loyalties of
British band Beerzone lie - their CD is called 'Strangle all
the Boybands' - Cyclone Records. 14 tracks of no-frills aggro
rock reflect everything from the type of people around them
' Duncan Disorderly' to their everyday lives 'Newtown' to music
icons that have sold out. There's even an ode to the late, great,
larger-than-life thespian Oliver Reed' Drinking Legend'.

Beerzone
- Strangle all the Boybands
England's Beerzone have come up with quite possibly the most
searing Punk Rock battle hymn since God Save The Queen on their
second release. The 14 track punk scorcher contains some good
old-fashioned sneering punk that sounds as if it was dug up
from a 1977 time-capsule( 'Duncan Disorderly', 'Life on the
Road') but the clincher on this disc is the title track of the
album, a rally call that we all need to adhere to if we want
to rid the world of musical mediocrity forever ('Strangle all
the Boybands'), For a Punk Rock shot in the arm, look no further
than Beerzone's three chord gem.
